T20 World Cup Schedule, Squads, and Playing 11: T20 World Cup is ready to kick start on October 16, 2022. A total of 16 teams participated in the T20 World Cup and played 45 matches in seven venues. All 45 matches were played in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Melbourne, Perth, Hobart, and Sydney.
The first match of the T20 World Cup was played on October 16 between Sri Lanka vs Niamba. The Super 12 stage starts on October 22 between Australia vs New Zealand. The semi-finals were played at Sydney Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval on 9 and 10 November. The Final of the T20 World Cup 2022 will be played on November 13 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
A total of 16 teams take part in the T20 World Cup. Eight teams directly qualify for the Super 12 round, eight teams fight in the first round of the T20 World Cup, and the top four teams from the first round qualify for Super 12. The top eight Super 12 teams are Australia(Host), Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. Eight teams in the first round are Namibia, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Sri Lanka, West Indies, United Arab Emirates, and Zimbabwe.
